Abstract

This joint document from the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics (SBP) and the Brazilian Association of Allergy and Immunology (ASBAI) establishes consensus recommendations for the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of pediatric eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), adapted to the Brazilian setting. Fifty-four key questions were formulated across three domains — (I) definition, pathophysiology, epidemiology, and diagnosis; (II) treatment; and (III) follow-up — and assessed using a three-round Delphi method by 40 specialists (20 pediatric gastroenterologists and 20 pediatric allergists).

Keywords

Eosinophilic esophagitis; child; consensus; Delphi technique.
